This is a topo map showing the old deer culling tracks around the Park Forks, Dorset Ridge that have not been maintained for 30 years or so. They are no longer shown on Tararua Park maps, or the NZMS versions either.

Some have better marking than others, but all are relatively easy to follow, even though there hasn't been any significant cutting for many years. various groups and individuals have trimmed these routes, and added various markers.

Well marked routes are Carkeek hut to Park Forks, McGregor Bivvy to Waiohine river.
