Lake Sumner Conservation Park

Hope Kiwi Lodge (sleeps 20, matresses, stove, tank water) is a large modern tramping hut on the grassy flats of the Kiwi River valley. The hut lies 2km south of the confluence with the Hope River. This location is popular with trampers and hunters, so expect company. Has two wood burners!

St Jacob's Hut: 1-2 hrs (5km). 4WD / marked track.

Hurunui Hut / Hurunui roadend (L32 372332): 3.5-7 hrs (16km) to roadend. Cut track. Bridge over Three Mile Stream removed - can be forded in low-moderate levels. Hut 20 mins beyond roadend.

Jollie Brook roadend / bridge (M33 556228): 30km cut track.

Windy Point / SH7 (M32 594468) via Hope River valley: 16km. Cut track.
