This pic is taken from point 1442 looking back towards Mt Haystack. The point on the skyline is 1411 on the north flank of Haystack. The route from Larrikin Hut traverses Mt Haystack to the middleground ridge and then descends the rib with the tuft of bush on it. Note the bluffs below! There are horror stories in the Hurricane Hut book about descending this. My impression is that this route is for a small strong party and probably best done for the first time starting at the Hurricane Hut end so the route finding in bluffs is done uphill.
