Popular day trip and weekend hut with great views over Hawkes Bay. Located in Buttercup Hollow on the Ruahine Range.
An NZFS-commissioned Fraemohs Homes construction dating from 1983, extended and upgraded in 2005. The hut features a wood burner with gas stove top.
Coverage available for HF mountain radios.
