• Booty Did the loop up the Horomanga valley December 2011. Plenty of easy river crossings up to Midway hut which is comfortable if somewhat litter strewn. Beautiful easy walk up to Mangapouri hut and is as description above...superb! For climb up and over ridge to Okui the track is unmaintained and plenty of old track markers missing. GPS would be handy as very easy to miss the left turn to the spur which drops down to Okui hut on the Whirinaki River.
